Steve from Emes Home Inspections was FANTASTIC! As a first time home buyer I found the entire process a bit overwhelming and stressful to say the least. When it came time to get my new home inspected I was at a complete loss for someone who I felt I could trust to do the job right. I had many referrals from many friends, and I definitely lucked out when I decided to go with Emes. Steve showed up at the scheduled time and immediately put me at ease. He was professional, friendly, and welcomed me to join him as he walked the property and inspected my home. I was immediately impressed with his thoroughness and his level of knowledge of everything from the roof down to the plumbing...he definitely knows his stuff! At times, as Steve conducted the inspection, he had to deal with conversations going on around him by others that were present during the inspection and I was concerned it would be a distraction for him. I was so impressed as I watched Steve continue his work, not letting those around him interrupt him or distract him from the job he was doing. Steve spent a total of 2 hours conducting the inspection for me...and the house is less that 1000 square feet!! I honestly felt as though he treated my home as if it were his own. Steve left my house at about 6:30 p.m. and I had his completed inspection report in my hands by 9:00 p.m. I am 100% satisfied with the experience I had with Steve and Emes Home Inspections. A couple of months ago, Mr. Emes, provided a thorough and professional home inspection. I contacted Mr. Emes in short notice, via his website. He website is clean and easy to navigate. My father in law actually found him online and after reading all the testimonials on his website, I was sold. He replied within a couple of hours and we got an appointment the following day. I worked with Steve Volgyi twice and he is awesome! Last year I was in the process of purchasing a condo and I was referred to Steve by my broker. Steve is not only a nice guy but he is about his business. He was very thorough with my inspection and answered all questions that I had. The detail inspection report was very comprehensible, with photos for priority areas and pin pointed everything needed for me to close the deal. Unfortunately, financing fell through so I was unable to get the condo. However, this year I found a home that I love and because of Steve's good work I called him again and I was not disappointed. The entire inspection process that I experienced with EMES Home Inspections was awesome!!! Home Inspector Steve Volgyi was at the inspection site 20 minutes earlier than expected. Steve was very detailed when communicating to me the results of the house which I very much appreciated because I was a first-time home buyer, and the inspection process was very new to me. He was extremely professional, and during the inspection Steve actually got hurt while checking out a window and he still completed the inspection in spite of the pain he suffered that day on the job. Steve was great! We got his information when he was doing an inspection on a rental property next to our current rental. We called him when we were ready to buy our own home. He sends very clear, well-organized and prompt emails, so you know exactly what's going on and when. During the inspection, our agent accidentally locked the keys in the garage and the homeowner had to come, and Steve remained professional and polite even though it was a very irregular situation. Cost under $500 for a two-level home with a separate four garage, and many strange DIY improvements by the previous owner; I'm sure Steve had his work cut out for him on this property. Paid by Venmo. Also he was at the property 15 minutes prior to the inspection - he didn't complain, I just know that because our agent (also early) told us he was early.
