Credentials

Credentials are very important part of choosing your inspector. As your inspector, I will follow the code of ethics, and standards of practice set by the North American Association of Home Inspectors (NAAHI), of which I am a member of (#312185). I have been trained and certified by The Professional Home Inspectors Institute (PHII #LMH30000021586), which is one of the ELITE inspector training programs in the United States. The national and state societies provide inspection guidelines for what to inspect, and also have training and experience requirements.

I also have the following certifications from The PHII:

Pest Inspections are required for some loans in some areas to determine if there is a infestation of wood-boring insects or other pest in the home, such as termites, beetles, ants, fungi, & bees.

I am also a licensed journeyman electrician (Michigan License #6325150), and have been a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) since 1990. The client can be assured that the entire inspection will be conducted by a qualified and non-biased electrician and certified home inspector, as the code of ethics prevent me from doing any repairs on any electrical issues, or any other problems found in the inspection, which ensures an impartial evaluation with no conflicts of interest. The inspection is merely to point out what needs to be addressed, so that the client can have an honest, impartial assessment of the home, and choose what and with whom any repairs are to be done.
